Emergency Relief (ER) services and programs support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or crisis, such as loss of income, eviction, or personal tragedy.  These services help people manage financial stress and work towards greater financial stability.

Support may include financial counselling, financial wellbeing and capability education, as well as crisis and recovery assistance.

Immediate assistance is available for those in financial crisis, including:

  • Material aid – practical items such as clothing, bedding and personal care items.
  • Financial aid – food parcels or vouchers for groceries, utilities, or petrol.

For assistance, please call 1300 991 443.

Centre-based and outreach services are offered from Toowoomba and Charleville and cover the Darling Downs, Maranoa and Western Queensland.

This program is funded by the Department of Social Services.
