Safe Connections Toowoomba: Supporting LGBTQA+ Individuals and Those Affected by Domestic and Family Violence

At Safe Connections Toowoomba, we specialise in providing inclusive and compassionate generalised support for any LGBTQA+ individuals seeking connection, acceptance, and safety.  For LGBTQA+ individuals who are or have experienced domestic and family violence, we offer understanding and specialist support tailored to your unique situation and needs.   We recognise how important self-acceptance and genuine connection are for those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Asexual (LGBTQA+). Feeling safe, valued, and understood is vital — and we know that finding professional support from people who truly understand your experiences can make all the difference.

How We Can Support You

Safe Connections Toowoomba offers access to specialist staff who are experienced in working with LGBTQA+ relationships. Our team is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and affirming space, ensuring that you feel supported when seeking help for the impacts of domestic and family violence.

We work alongside individuals, families, service providers, and the wider community to promote safety, respect, and well-being for LGBTQA+ people in Toowoomba and beyond.

Accessing Support

If you need more information or would like to make an appointment, please call us at 1300 991 443.

You can also submit a referral to the program for yourself or someone you know.

We provide outreach services to Gatton, Helidon, Highfields, and Crows Nest, ensuring support is available beyond  Toowoomba.

This program is proudly funded by the Department of Social Services.

Our Commitment to Intersex Communities

Safe Connections Toowoomba supports intersex communities across Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand by affirming the Darlington Statement, advocating for the rights and well-being of intersex individuals.

Additional Support in South West Queensland

Lifeline Darling Downs also offers the Safe Connections program, supporting people across South West Queensland who are affected by domestic and family violence.

If you or someone you know is in need of understanding, confidential, and affirming support, please reach out. You are not alone—we are here to help.
